Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions has announced the introduction of two pressure sensitive adhesive films, designed to steadfastly adhere to rough, uneven and low surface energy surfaces.

Available in Australia and New Zealand, the two new products, MPI 2126 Matte Opaque HiTack Easy Apply™ and MPI 3026 Supertack, open up new possibilities for decoration and branding on interior and exterior surfaces that have, until now, been problematic for pressure sensitive adhesive films.

"An increasing number of businesses are embracing adhesive films as visually impactful and cost effective options in transforming their premises and branding their vehicles," said David Newman, senior manager, product marketing, Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions. "Our new calendered HiTack and Supertack adhesive films will allow graphics to stay in place, even on the most challenging surfaces and in most punishing conditions.”
The new MPI 2126 Matte Opaque HiTack Easy Apply™ is a high opacity, matte low glare film that vigorously adheres to interior painted walls with low surface energy, typically a characteristic of easy to clean and dirt resistant modern interior paints. It also adheres to plastic, fibreglass, powdercoated and painted metal, ensuring that graphics remain in tact under most conditions.
The possible applications for MPI 2126 Matte Opaque HiTack Easy Apply™ range from interior walls and ceilings in preschools to recreational vehicles and heavy duty
construction machinery and equipment. Utilising Avery Dennison’s Easy Apply™ technology, application is fast and bubblefree, even allowing repositioning and aligning decals.
Avery Dennison’s new MPI 3026 Supertack is a monomeric calendered vinyl film with a matte finish. This high opacity, matte low glare film is ideal for graphics intended for relatively short term indoor and outdoor applications.
MPI 3026 Supertack offers excellent printability across a broad range of wide format inkjet printers, making it quick and easy to create attractive and impressive promotional materials. It is ideal for application on slightly structured surfaces, such as internal walls, as well as demanding apolar surfaces such as polyethylene and polypropylene.
“With the introduction of these versatile new films, Avery Dennison continues to help end users grow their businesses by standing out in a cluttered marketplace with
highly visible branding and promotional materials that last,” added David Newman.
“Now almost no wall, pillar or post is off limits – it’s an advertising space waiting to be filled”.
