Sun Chemical has expanded its Streamline range of OEM-compatible solvent-based inkjet inks with the introduction of new low odour inks for the North American market.

The new Streamline ESL HPQ low odor inks are the first inkjet products to benefit from Sun Chemical’s innovative new low odour chemistry. The inks have been developed for the Roland Soljet Pro 2, Pro 3 and VersaCAMM printers and are also compatible with Mutoh ValueJet Printers along with other eco-solvent inkjet printers using Epson DX 4 through to DX 7 piezo inkjet print heads.
Extensive tests throughout a six-month period with customers in Europe, has demonstrated the long term performance of these inks in a broad range of machine installations.
“The industry is seeing a boom in entrepreneurial start-up companies using wide format printers and these companies tend to occupy smaller offices,” said Penny Holland, Vice President Marketing, North American Inks, Sun Chemical. “Because many of our customers now work in closer proximity to the printer, they really need low odour inkjet ink cartridges installed in the printer.”
Streamline ESL HPQ low odour inks are available in CMYK, light cyan & light magenta colours along with a flush solution. They will be available in 440ml cartridges and one liter bottles for use with bulk ink supply systems, throughout North America.
Recently launched in 2014 to the North American market, Sun Chemical’s Streamline inkjet inks are designed specifically for use in wide format printers which use high-quality solvent-based inks, and offer the same level of quality, performance and colour integrity quality printing, but at a lower cost.
Carefully matched to the original products for both colour shade and strength, as well as physical properties, Streamline inks allow print providers to use their existing printer settings when converting from the solvent-based inkjet inks.
