Nearly 200 people from more than 150 businesses have attended the first round of Business Briefings for the recently launched Future Print Business Transformation Project, with numbers and feedback indicating that the new project has really hit the mark.

The two-hour briefings, held in over August and September in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Launceston, Adelaide and Perth, were designed to give participants an overview of the project framework and help them define what they might need to do to equip themselves to meet the needs of the industry of the future.

Delegates gather for the first Sydney ‘Business Briefings’ for the Future Print Business Transformation Project.

According to Peter Mansfield, General Manager – Membership Services for Printing Industries, who is coordinating the project, more than 95% of attendees have now elected to move on to the second stage of the project, which involves obtaining a customized ‘Business Snapshot’ of the participating business and assesses their current position against national benchmarks.
From there, participating businesses will be able to access business analysis and planning, facilitated workshops, ‘one on one’ business mentoring support from Future Print advisors, and subsidised training across a very broad range of business areas from management, sales and marketing to lean manufacturing, IT and finance.
Funding will provide places for 350 businesses to take part in the initial part of the project and Mansfield is encouraging businesses to take advantage of the limited places available in these early sessions, to maximize the benefit from the two year program.
“We’re delighted with the response from these first Briefings as it indicates that the mix of services and support available through the Business Transformation Project are hitting the mark with businesses involved in the print and wider graphic communications sector,” says Mansfield.
“Places are limited in this initial stage of the project and, if anything, the success to date will make future sessions even more popular. With nearly half available places already subscribed, this means business owners who are interested in accessing the resources, services and support on offer have no time to lose in expressing their interest and booking for a Briefing session in the next round.”
