Spandex Asia Pacific has inked a distribution deal with Swedish wide format flatbed applicator specialists Rollsroller AB – the original inventors of patented flatbed material applicators for the sign and display industry.

Like its similarly named automotive marque; Rollsroller is considered the best-in-class for fast and efficient flatbed application, where a single operator can mount large format digital print and self-adhesive film to a variety of substrates such as acrylic, rigid boards, corrugated plastic, metal plate, banners and glass.

ROLLSROLLER Premium

Spandex Managing Director Alex McClelland says: “Spandex internationally has agreements with Rollsroller so I am delighted that we have been able to extend this to Australia. The Rollsroller system was invented by signmakers to overcome issues with mounting large, hard-to-handle printed materials onto various substrates up to 60mm thick and up to 10.8 metres long. The standard of engineering is first class and the ergonomics permit operation by just one person, with close attention paid to health and safety aspects.”

Rollsroller AB Marketing Director Markus Ryberg says: “Our global relationship with Spandex is strong, so we are pleased to extend this to cover Australia. This new agreement comes at a time when we are launching three new models to the market, with added features to build on the success of nearly 4,000 installations around the world. We congratulate Alex and his team for choosing Rollsroller and together we look forward to being of service to the Australian sign-making and display graphics community.”

The three new models from Rollroller are ‘Entry’ a low-cost model for up to 1.45 metre wide by 3.4 metre long mounting; ‘Regular’ the most popular size at 1.7 metres by 4 metres and featuring an LED light table and storage trays and ‘Premium’ for high volume industrial production up to 2.2 metres by 10.8 metres. Also offered is the ‘Traffic’ model made specifically with road directional signage in mind.

“Stocks will arrive very soon,” says McClelland,” and we are working towards a new showroom and demonstration facility that will include Rollsroller; so stay tuned.”
