GAMAA secures leading academic to run workshop
Friday, 23 July 2010 09:23

GAMAA’s August one-day workshop - Coaching for Success: How to Hold Effective Conversations – will be led by Australia’s preeminent academic in coaching Dr. Anthony Grant.

Samantha Crock, GAMAA’s Education Manager said, “Dr. Grant is a highly sought-after presenter, but he rarely conducts workshops on a one-off basis. GAMAA is incredibly fortunate to have secured his services”. Dr. Grant is the director of the Coaching Psychology Unit at the School of Psychology at Sydney University, a course he created and the first of its kind in Australia.

“Coaching done well is hugely beneficial to a company,” said Dr. Grant. “We’ve gotten motivation wrong in the past. The carrot and the stick approach doesn’t work… coaching can enrich an individual’s experience and get them to engage at a whole new level.”

During this interactive and challenging workshop Dr. Grant will discuss how holding ‘effective conversations’ can assist individuals to set goals that inspire and motivate others as well as themselves.

“Workshop participants will have the opportunity to work on short, focused coaching conversations and take part in a series of practical exercises designed to stimulate and engage and get you thinking beyond what you currently know,” concluded Ms. Crock.

A not-for-profit association, GAMAA has offset the cost of the workshop to ensure accessibility. At only $650 (incl. GST) this is an amazing offer and opportunity to learn from Australia’s coaching guru. Don’t miss out. Places are strictly limited.

When: 27th August 9.00 – 5.00pm
Where: Medina Coogee
Cost: $650 (incl GST)
