PT Store’s new owners strike an alliance with HP
Tuesday, 09 March 2010 10:16

Parts Overnight, Australia’s largest independent printer spare parts and accessories distributor has acquired Queensland’s PT Store.

Parts Overnight specialises in supporting small format printers, and is authorised for large format spare parts distribution.

The company has chosen to align with HP large format printers in order to build a service driven business as Operations Manager Ian Parsonson explains. “For us HP was a natural first choice. Our corporate customers are

already using HP in their offices so brand awareness is very high. We can see opportunities to transition existing customers to other digital print platforms”.

PT Store will be modelled on the same philosophy as Parts Overnight - to provide a total supply and support service for equipment, consumables and media. “We are not interested in being box droppers. We will partner with selected vendors to deliver a comprehensive digital print solution to our customers”.

Parsonson says the company has been fortunate to retain the services of all key personnel from PT Store including sales and technical staff who are experienced in both the graphic arts and technical segments.

“PT Store has historically had a strong presence in the technical space where HP is the recognised market leader. We will be working closely with our existing customer base as well as diversifying into graphic arts to capitalise on the experience of our staff in wide format sales, service and support.”

PT Store, under its new corporate colours, will take a stand at Visual Impact Imaging Expo on the Gold Coast 30 April to 1 May.

In conclusion Parsonson says, “Service will be the key to re-establishing PT Store as the first call for anyone in Queensland looking for large format printers and supplies. This is a new opportunity for us and we are very enthusiastic and excited about prospects for the future”.
